Others, like commentator Alex Cobb, see potential in several upcoming events. The final judgment in the SEC vs. Ripple lawsuit is one of them. Both parties have submitted their arguments for what penalty Ripple should face for violating federal securities laws. The decision is now in the hands of Judge Analisa Torres, who could rule by July 13. This date is significant as it marks the one-year anniversary of her ruling that XRP is not a security, a decision that saw XRP’s price double in 24 hours.
Cobb also mentioned the possibility of a BlackRock XRP ETF filing, though this seems less likely compared to a Solana ETF. Asset manager VanEck has already filed for a Solana ETF, and others might follow.
