Rumors of the Shiba Inu’s adoption in Turkey have circulated online for the last few days. But it appears that an ambulance service in the nation had previously confirmed its acceptance of SHIB as payment long before the government moved to embrace the dog-themed meme coin.
The public obtained the information via vetyusuf27, a Twitter user and SHIB army follower.
On Saturday, he uploaded photos of a modest company office, ostensibly belonging to Vita Plus, with a sign outside verifying that Shiba Inu is accepted as payment. Vita Plus is a Turkish firm that provides ambulance services throughout the country.
The Shiba Inu and Vita Plus emblems are seen side by side in one of the shared photographs, a close-up of the notice/poster. “Payment with Shiba Inu currency is accepted in this institution,” says a message beneath the logos.
The photograph’s location was not immediately evident, and the International Business Times could not verify this information independently. There was no mention of accepting SHIB on the Vitaambulans’ Turkish-language website.
Even if this SHIB adoption is limited to the local office depicted in the image, it demonstrates that the token is slowly but gradually gaining traction, thanks to the tireless work of its development team and the fiercely devoted Shib Army.
Is mass adoption in the books of Shiba Inu?
After Shiba Inu’s leading developer Shytoshi Kusama tweeted about a meeting between certain SHIB army members and government officials led by Turkey’s Economic Minister Mustafa Elitaş, rumors of Turkey adopting SHIB circulated online.
“FANTASTIC NEWS,” Shytoshi Kusama, the primary creator of ShibaSwap, tweeted. Adoption is on the rise all across the world! Shibarmy Thank you very much. Thank you for meeting with @shibaturkish, @mustafaelitas!!!” Shytoshi, on the other hand, did not reveal the meeting’s conclusion and instead opted to keep silent.
For more formal information on the meeting with Turkish government officials will have to wait and watch. If reports that the government considers making Shiba Inu legal currency are accurate, the token’s value is predicted to skyrocket. However, none of the claims have been substantiated, so we’ll have to wait and see how the situation unfolds.
The meeting provided the Shiba Inu team an opportunity to demonstrate its digital asset technology and its benefits to government authorities. Bitexen, a cryptocurrency exchange located in Turkey, featured the “Dogecoin killer” on its site in February.
