XRP Ledger

The XRP Ledger is advancing toward its next software phase as more validators adopt version 3.2.0. XRPL Explorer data shows adoption is rising steadily. The network is also preparing for the fixCleanup 3.2.0 amendment before activation.

The upgrade tracker data shows that 99 validators have upgraded to 3.2.0. This number constitutes 66% of the trusted validator set. Adoption has increased, but the software migration remains incomplete.

However, from the provided data, it is clear that 481 nodes run the most recent software. The above number makes up 57.33% of all the nodes. XRPL Explorer reports 825 network nodes, according to the provided figures.

What XRP Ledger v3.2.0 Changes for Validators

Older software still holds a large share of activity. Version 3.1.3 continues to be used by 42 validators, or 28% of the total set. It runs on 322 nodes, which equals 38.38% of all the nodes.

Amendments require a strict approval process on the XRP Ledger. Each proposal requires at least 80% support from trusted validators. This value should not go down for two consecutive weeks before activation.

Adoption rate of version 3.2.0 does not meet this threshold. Network needs more participation of validators using other versions. Another 25 percentage points of adoption are required to reach the target.

Version 3.2.0 contains technical improvements, infrastructural changes, and some fixes for developers. The XRP Ledger release introduces one significant change regarding XLS-0095. The official name of the software is now changed to xrpld from rippled.

XRP Ledger deployment started on June 15. Validators and node operators need to make some changes to their configuration path and deployment scripts. Metadata references and directories in databases should also be updated accordingly to the software rename.

Why XRP Ledger Operators Must Upgrade Before July 29

The Fixcleanup 3.2.0 amendment has already passed the voting requirement level. This amendment is supported by 85.71% of validators. Thirty validators voted for it, while six voted against the proposal during the latest round of voting.

Amendment of XRP Ledger is now in the middle of its required two-week activation period. The activation date of this change is set for July 29, 2026, 09:57 UTC. Validator support must stay above 80% during this period.

Validator of XRPL Vet advises node operators to update the software before activation. The update is aimed at the improvement of existing features, but not the introduction of new ones. The amendment solves the accuracy and rounding problem in single-asset vaults and lending protocols.

The XRP Ledger amendment also solves the problem connected with Permissioned DEX and Permissioned Domains. These updates will happen only in case of maintaining the support above the required level. Operators must finish the updates before scheduled activation.
